After your hotel pickup from your Darwin accommodation, travel south along the Stuart Highway towards Litchfield National Park.

As we enter the park, you will get your first glimpse of the magnetic Litchfield termite mounds. Throughout the day, our guides will share their knowledge about the termite’s value to the unique tropical ecosystem and the formation of the mounds themselves.

In the morning, we will also visit Wangi Falls. This will be your first opportunity to swim* in the crisp, clean Territory waters. Take a dip in the tranquil plunge pool below the face of the falls, or follow the 800m loop walk through the surrounding monsoon forest. Swimming and walks are subject to seasonal conditions.

At lunch time, we will have a freshly prepared picnic set up in a peaceful, shaded bush setting. We will move through native bushland en route to Florence Falls, another scenic waterfall with a plunge pool below. After some more guided bushwalking, the cascading waters of Buley Rockhole offer yet another chance for a cooling dip.

The final activity for the day will be a private Crocodile Cruise on the vast Adelaide River. Wildlife expert and skipper, Pat, is passionate about these magnificent creatures and is always keen to share his knowledge and experience with visitors. This is the ideal way to see the local animals in their natural habitat.

You will head back to Darwin having experienced some of the Territory’s most beautiful and serene spots. You might even have glimpsed some of its unique wildlife, including wallabies, goanna and frilled-neck lizards. The area is also home to countless bird species, including brolga and jabiru, to name a few.

You will arrive back at your Darwin accommodation after your Tour.

At Offroad Dreaming we understand that there are food sensitivities and allergies, that restrict choices from standard menus, which is why we have created our public day tour lunches as a buffet style, including fresh, wholefood choices, where you can select from all the options available and make up a meal to cater for your dietary requirements.

Offroad Dreaming hold a License to serve food and our menus will be stored, prepared and served, on location, by your food handling trained guide, under approved health and safety requirements.

Our menus are dependent on what is fresh and available on the day.
